Here in this post, I am going to provide the step by step installation process of Google Play Store on Firestick. If you are unable to use YouTube and other apps offering by Google on your firestick then you must need Google Play Services running on your device. Firestick also supporting Android OS, which means you can install all the apps from Google play store. Google Play Services is a core application that is necessary to run Android applications form Google. Below, I have written the step by step installation process of Google Play Services for firestick.

How To Install Google Play Store on Firestick?

  • Go to your Amazon Fire TV Stick Settings
  • Click on Developer options
  • Click to enable Apps from Unknown Sources and ADB Debugging
  • Return to Settings and go to About
  • Click on Network
  • Copy down your Amazon Fire TV Stick’s IP Address.
  • Install Apps2Fire (Original) onto your Android device (tablet or phone). It’s important that you use the app labeled Original here. There are several clones on the Google Play Store.
  • Open your Apps2Fire app.
  • Slide the menu bar at the top until you see Setup
  • Enter Setup, and then enter your Fire TV Stick IP Address where it says “IP address of your FireTV”
  • Enter your Firestick IP Address.
  • Go to local apps.
  • Select Google Play Store and other apps.
  • Hit install.

  1. Went smoothly until I get to the “Select Google Play Store and other apps.” When I click on Install it tells me it doesn’t find a Fire TV. Also, what does “other apps” refer to?

    1. This doesn’t work with fire TV. Google play store can not be used on fire TV. I have tried every way possible. Although troypoints Aptoide “version” will work. Yalp apk app is the best I’ve seen this far for Google apps. The problem is Google play services.. I’m trying to download Google play games that require permissions. I’ve even tried lucky patcher to remove dependencies and it’s not working with games such as The escapist 2. Any advice would be appreciative. I’ve downloaded adrid tv framework acc manager services and play store apks individually. Nothing seems to work. Please help.

  3. Works great the. When launching I receive ” The version of this app isn’t compatible with your device. To fix go to settings and uninstall updates for Google play store app “

        Go to settings, then apps then google play services
        You have 3 dots on the upper right corner, open them and you have uninstall updates.
        Et voilà

      How do u fix this. I have even tried the APK route and get the she error message

  5. I had to turn on ADB debugging (on the firestick) in order for it to work. Follow the on screen instructions in Apps2Fire and it should install.

  6. This did not work for me. Once Google Play was installed and launched, I got the error “This version of the app is not compatible with your device……”.

  7. Doesn’t work as there is no way to open anything in google play even when downloaded. I got to ‘Open your Apps2Fire’ but although showing as installed I couldn’t find any way to actually open any apps in the store. Completely hopeless and I can’t watch my football teams ‘iFollow’ without a Google app. Poor show by Amazon blocking google like this. There must be a way of getting iFollow to play somehow, can anyone help please?

  8. Hi, I don’t really need the actually google play store. I just need to be able to use apps that needs google play services. I managed to install G.P.store and service on a Fire Tv but now I have a FireTv stick 4k, it won’t go. Is there a way to install G.P. store and service so I can use all the apps that need the GP service? pls help. (i bricked 1 firetv stick 4k and managed after sweating a lot to unbrick it)
