Kodi is a world popular media center application which supports almost 99% popular operating system. Kodi is available to download for Android Box also but your Smart TV Box must be running on Android 5.0+ or higher version. If you don’t know which version of your Android TV Box running then follow these simple steps to know the Android version of Android TV Box.

Step-1: Open Android TV Box

Step-2: Select Settings

Step-3: Select About

Step-4: Scroll Down

Scroll down by pressing the down button on your remote and check the Android version of your Android TV Box.

So, here you can see that my Android TV Box is running on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow). It ensures that I can install Kodi on my Android TV Box. If you also want to install Kodi on Android Box then you must be running over Android 5.0 or above. Kodi is not supported by the earlier versions of Android.

First, check your Android version from the above method and then follow these steps to install Kodi on Android Box-

Step-1: Launch Android TV Box

Step-2: Go To Apps and Open Google Store

Step-3: Login using Gmail account

Step-4: Click on the search bar and type Kodi

Step-5: Select the first search result

Step-6: Click install

Step-7: Wait for few seconds

Step-8: Open Kodi

Now directly select the OPEN option to launch Kodi on your Android box or visit the apps and look for Kodi to launch. Finally, Kodi 17.6 has been installed on your Android TV Box and now you can install any number of Kodi Add-ons to enjoy free movies and tv shows streaming.
