      1. Go to your bit.ly link in any browser and you can download the php file they are referring to, after you do that, you can download the apk, but it’s not working from the bit.ly link.

Also… As soon as you install, it says “YouTube TV won’t run without Google Play Services which are not supported on your device.”

No screenshot, I typed it, move on, it doesn’t work.

      1. YouTube and YouTubeTV are two completely different things. I don’t know why you stuck installing YouTube in to the mix here. I thought this was supposed to be about instaling YouTubeTV, which I have and works fine on Roku and computer, but I’d like it on FireStick too for a family member share. I would like to know if ANYONE has gotten YouTubeTV to work by installing an APK or using another helper program, or is bringing it up in a web browser (i.e. Amazon Silk) the only way to access YouTubeTV on FireStick? A definitive answer would be appreciated. Thanks all ! B-rad

  1. Or you can download the TV Tube app on your firestick which allows for the play of HD video and that fixed my problem with YouTube TV.

    1. How did you login? I am getting a blue login box when click on “Already a member” but can NOT type anything in it!

      Cheers

  2. You don’t need the es downloaded Use the Regular downloaded it is orange. Put in the bit.ly link above then go through all the install steps.
When I went through es file explorer I got a repair file to. Then you need google play services too it’s complicated.

  3. I can install youtube TV app and Google Store + Service. The Youtube TV app can be launched from Home-Settings-App-Manage installed App-YoutubeTV but it is not be seen from Home-App as the OP said (why it is the difference?)

However, after the Youtube TV being launched, after I click the “already a member” link, it pops up a window for “+ account”. At here I cannot move forward, no effect by pressing any button on the remote control. Any could help? How did you put your Youtube TV account information and login?

  4. Hey Guys,

I can see that many of you were facing the issues while installing YouTube on Firestick.
Many of you reported that the download link is not working or either YouTube asking for Google Play Services.

So, for your convenience, I’ve updated the entire tutorial with a NEW and EASY method.

Now follow METHOD #1 to install YouTube on FireStick and run without Google Play Services….

    ENJOY!

Don’t forget to give your feedback in the comment box <3

    1. Follow the Method 1 installed YouTube app via Aptoid TV but couldn’t log in into YouTube app. Tried to restart fire stick but not working either.

          1. I followed method 1 and had the same issue. To resolve it I chose the 1080p alt option instead of the main option. This required the installation of something called crosstalk.

      1. What screen resolution have you selected? Currently this app is not supporting 4K resolutions, so I request you to select 1080p Main.

  5. I’m also receiving an error stating “Error: Not found. Check your URL” for url 1. I also tried to type this url in a fresh new browser on my computer and received a page not found error message.

  6. I have tried both methods the older method I can’t find a url box. Says no download task found. can’t move the cursor to the right. The first method (the easy on) said url not found. I wanted to watch the game tonight. help

  7. I have the app installed and I can launch it. The problem is there is no video. I can see the everything except when I click to watch a show. Audio is there, but video is not. resolution is 480. Any ideas on how to fix?

  8. Same as someone has already mentioned, installed but when signing in, the app crashes. Tried restarting the fire tv box, no difference. No good.

  9. Got to download and it’s only YouTube, not YouTube tv. How to get YouTube tv? Unfortunately the other streaming services don’t have the sports channel we want and YouTube tv does. And we already owned a fire stick tv

  10. Method #1 definitely doesn’t work for me. The YouTube app opens and runs fine but when I try to sign in it crashes. Any suggestions would be welcomed

  11. Neither option worked. In Step 1, after inputting the file name and verifying its accuracy, I click go and get an “Incorrect File Path” error.
In step 2, once I get the file downloaded, there is no install option.

  12. Let’s be clear. YouTube is NOT the same as YouTubeTV!! I hate these guides that claim to allow YouTubeTV to work, and then have instructions for YouTube, not YouTubeTV.

  13. This installed the YouTube app but I’m trying to watch YouTube TV as I have the monthly $40 subscription. How do I launch Youtube TV?

  14. Same as Carrie said - this is for YouTube, not YouTube TV. I don’t see an option for the YouTube TV app. Are we missing something, since this article is titled, “How to Install YouTube TV on Firestick 2018”?

  15. Hey guys - so I can watch regular YouTube videos on the Firestick using the Firefox browser and sign-in using my phone. I linked the YouTube on Firestick to my phone using the Link TV option in the settings. I can see the selections of YouTube videos and do the searches. But I cannot find anyway to open YouTube TV that I am subscribed to watch Live TV (all the networks, sports etc).

I also used your instructions to download the installer. The trick there was to first go to https://firestickhelp, let the page open, and then add “/AptioidTV”

Neither option allows me to watch live TV1

I also tried to go to tv.YouTube.com on the FireFox browser and got to sign in and I got ass far as the welcome screen! Now what?

  16. The only way you are going to be able to watch the paid subscription is to use the FireFox or Silk browsers to go to tv.youtube.com and login to your subscription. The hitch is right now BOTH browsers are not linked to the laptop/desktop version of the tv.youtube.com. After you login you get to a welcome screen that sends you to Google Play Store (YES it works) to install the app on your phone. Did that and works on phone. But the hitch is there is no way to cast the YouTube TV app to the Firestick. Instead of the Welcome Screen the link should just bring you to the Live TV interface but alas both browsers are wired the same way. I hope the issue is resolved soon!! I really like the FIrestick 4K otherwise! I use it with Acorn TV and it really works like a charm! Oh Well.

    1. @ Warren -> tried to access YouTube TV by typing tv.youtube.com into FireFox and Silk browsers, but when I click on “already a member” in the top right, I’m redirected to a page that only gives me options to download the YouTube TV app from the Google Play and Apple stores… I cannot get to my YouTube TV live streaming service through either of those browsers.

I’ve read through dozens of articles claiming that they know how to get YouTube TV working on their Firestick/TV, but in the end, all I get is the regular YouTube app, sans the ability to use my subscription for YouTube TV.

Very frustrated. Please let me know anyone has figured out how to ACTUALLY solve this problem!

  17. Save time and frustration on this… it doesn’t work. I’ve tried it all. The url with Aptoide and without the ‘e’, aptoid both don’t work. I even tried going to jailbreakfirestick.co first, then adding the remaining piece of the url (again, both ways) and received a Not found, error 404 message. The message goes on to say “The page you are looking for no longer exists.”

Amazon has done a very good job in preventing users to use the YouTubeTV app because of their anti Google stance at the moment. Just go get a Roku device and be done with it. They are currently $50 but holiday sale time is around the corner and they are sure to be less soon. You’ll also save yourself the headache that this has given me.

Until Sling can provide CBS and ABC in my area I’m sticking with YouTubeTV and paying less at the same time. I’ve learned to live without the NFL Network.

Anyone interested in buying my hardly ever used - 2 Amazon Firesticks? 🙂

  18. Agreed. Not the LIVE STREAMING YouTube TV. I do not understand why the subscription for YouTube TV was mentioned above, but was not included in the result of following these steps…

    1. Tim- You have it backwards. It’s not YouTube that is preventing it’s YouTubeTV app from being available on the Amazon Firestick. It’s the opposite. Amazon’s Firestick is now blocking users from being able to download the YouTubeTV application.

  19. The odd thing, YouTubeTV Live app works fine on Amazon FireStick. It doesn’t work on Amazaon FireStick 4K. You can stream anything, but Live TV. It worked for a day and then a FireStick update occurred - that blew it away. Anybody have a work-around on that???

    Tim

  20. Download Firefox in order to use YouTube. Works beautifully. The Firestick is finicky at times and with Liberalism running out of control in the US, many platforms will be shutdown….Trump 2020!

    1. General Godwell

Are you an idiot? Kodi came into prominence during the Obama years and the days of Net Neutrality, you dumb twit.

Trump is the reason you have 20 telemarketers calling your phone, Trump killed Net Neutrality which protected YOU from cable providers selling bandwidth to large corporations and Trump’s FCC is the ones shitting down all of these streaming servers.

Get the hell out of here with your political agenda. Especially when your info is from Hannity.

  21. - install Youtube TV and I got the streaming menu but when I try to select the program it will not display on the screen - got a blank white display on my TV. Can you tell me what I did wrong or missing during the configuration?

  22. I installed youtubeTV with method #1 however one live TV (NBC news) worked, but when changing to all the others, none would load and play live. Recevied an error message.

I then tried method #2 and neither of the URL would download the app. not working or not found.

    2/17/19
    Dick

  23. I got it all downloaded using method #1 but it won’t let me “sign in” to the YouTube TV account so no luck with live channels and location broadcasts.

  24. Re-post!

Save time and frustration on this… it doesn’t work. I’ve tried it all.

Amazon has done a very good job in preventing users to use the YouTubeTV app because of their anti Google stance at the moment.

Your best bet is to get a Roku device and be done with it. You’ll also save yourself the headache that this has given me. You can even get them on Amazon, if you work your way through all of their adds trying to sell you their FireStick.

Do your own comparison of YouTubeTV, Sling, Hulu, DirecTV Now, etc. For me I went with YouTubeTV because of the available content (except not having the NFL package) and the unlimited recording capability.

P.S. — My 2 Amazon FireStick’s are still available if anyone wants to make me an offer.

  25. I installed the Youtubetv apk via ES File Pro. I just copied it from my phone to my Fire Stick. However, I keep getting the error Google Services are required. Can u help me? I don’t want to use silk or aptoid. Is there a APK version that doesn’t rely on Google Services? Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Z

  26. I have Directtv Now, Hulu Live no commercials with all addons (cloud DVR and 8 screens). I have YouTube TV. I have Cox Contour. I have NFL Redzone and Sunday Ticket. I have all sports channels Tennis, Sky Sports, ESPN, Fox sports, NBC, NBA , NFL. I have all premium channels both US and UK. I am able to side load a lot of my apps using APK downloader and ES File Pro. APK Downloader just copies the APKs from your device that u have it installed on and puts a copy in the Download folder.

I have been able to sideload Cox Contour, Max Go, Just Watch, Kasa, Vuebell, Netvue, and a few others. I have not been successful with BBC Iplayer, BBC Media, Sky Network Player, or YouTube TV.

I use only Samsung Smart TVs, so I am able to get YouTube TV and BBC iplayer on it along with my VPN provider (StrongVPN pwns). Yet, I still can’t get these on my Amazon devices. I can cast to any device in my home with any of my phones or tablets in 4K and SUHD and even 3D if I use Amazon. Amazon allows me to play at original bit rate. If I buy UHD content or choose UHD content to watch, it will pass through my devices on cast at the show’s original bit rate.

My issues are getting real versions of BBC, YouTube TV, Sky Network, and a few others to side load. Do you guys know of a site or know of any way of running an app in compatibility mode? I appreciate your advice and guidance.

  27. Method #1 didn’t work for me. It loaded youtube and I signed on with my account but no tv streaming even though I am subscribed to it. When I searched for “Silk Browser” it only showed “Amazon Silk - Web Browser” so that’s what I used. Is Amazon Silk the right browser? I turned on “Allow apps from unknown sources” and that’s still the only browser that shows up.

  28. I can see that NFL online Stream on => <3 NFLTVNOW <3 and I think it's the best place to watch NFL this year 🙂 , check by yourself if you don't believe.

  29. I was able to successfully install the YouTube TV app on a Firestick 4K and can log in and navigate to the home screen. My issue is that when I select a video to watch, the tv only shows the word “Loading…”. The Firestick is connected to a tv with only 720 resolution. Is that an issue?

  30. I used Method 1 and I can get into my YouTube TV account and can see everything. Problem is it won’t play anything. It just says LOADING and eventually gives a Playback Error

  31. For those experiencing “loading…” Try this.

    Uninstall the app.
Reinstall and at step 19, don’t select 1080p, select 1080p alt. Mine prompted for additional software to be installed, which it did automatically. After that follow the steps for adding your account. Works for me with no issues.

  32. I was having the same issue and choosing 1080 alt worked for me. I didn’t delete the app and reinstall it though, I just cleared the app data and signed back in. The app crashed a few times when first loading live tv but I’m watching it now and it’s working great! Thank you!

  33. A couple notes:
    - The Firestick doesn’t understand the Mediafire page where you are trying to have us download the APK, so I had to download the APK on my computer, then put it on my own webhost for downloading directly.
    - I got “Loading…” indefinitely on the regular 1080 selection, but the ALT 1080 version works well.
    - For some reason after casting something to Youtube from my phone (not sure if that is what caused it), whenever I would launch YoutubeTV, it would get halfway through loading the app, and then suddenly switch over to Youtube’s new app they just released for Firestick. For a while I could no longer use YoutubeTV. But, I went and cleared the cache for both apps, and now it works again.

  34. Installed the app just fine I was happy to see youtube tv but I am unable to play any videos as it just says playback error. Can’t wait until youtube comes out with the official app later this year.

  35. Hi there, I’m getting some problems with youtube on kodi firestick and need help. I have kodi 18 and youtube 6.0.5, but for some reason it won’t let me sign in. When I try it says must enable 2 apps so it functions properly, and then have a error saying check the log for info. Also when i try the youtube app on firestick, it won’t even connect to my network. yet everything else works fine. please any ideas as I’m losing my mind…
    Thanks

  36. I downloaded this Youtube TV app to my Firestick. No buffering or choppiness. It will play flawless for 30 to 60 minutes and then the app locks up. The only thing I can do is exit the app and then start it back up. It will play great for another 30 to 60 minutes and the same thing happens. The app keeps freezing. Has this happened to anyone else?

    1. How’d you get the app on the fire stick? Which method worked for you?

I was able to download it via the orange downloader app, installed it, and then when I click on any of the channels it just gets stuck on “loading” for a long time. And then you get an error message saying “file format not supported”.

      1. Have you selected the screen resolution properly? If not, please select “1080p Main” I too facing problems in 4K resolution. But, I am testing an alternative third-party app and our readers will get it very soon.

  37. I am following the instructions but it’s stuck at Loading screen after the install completes Ok.

If I wait long enough I get a Playback error. This Video format is not supported.

  38. I have it installed and when I open it, it gets stuck with “Loading” message.

If I hit back button then I get the Youtube TV interface with Library, Home, Live and all looks good.

But no matter what when I try to watch live or something from my library it goes back to “Loading” forever.

    Help!!

  39. Got youtubetv to load on to firestick 4K. at the menu select a channel and it just sits and says loading and never loads the channel. tried different channels and same thing.

  40. I made it work by selecting 1080 Alt (image+Sound) and installed whatever it asked.

I assume 4k Alt works too. For me it was just sound, but my firestick and TV are not 4k capable.

Also, the website doesn’t work either from Downloader or ES File Explorer. I downloaded the .apk on my Chromebook (works from an Android phone, too), installed App2Fire from selected the file and Installed it.

    Hope this will help.

  41. I initially used Method #1 (with 1080p Main resolution) and would get the loading screen; nothing else. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it using 4k Alt resolution and now I only get audio. I’ll keep tinkering with the different resolutions but could anyone offer me some tips?

  42. roushl1964@gmail.com
    * After successfully loading YouTube TV on my Firestick 4K, I was excited to get rdy for decent TV. However, ‘you’ failed to mention that YouTube is not yet supporting Firestick. Thus, you cannot view ANYTHING; yes, you can see the channel guide…nothing will play.
After 30 minutes of straight chatting, YouTube rep finally disclosed Firestick is not yet a supported device. Blows…I had to suddenly canx a subscription I only had for 40 minutes.????

  43. This was working great for me for months, but now I’m stuck on the loading screen after selecting a channel and getting an error message that says “Request denied for security.” Any workarounds for this?

  44. I downloaded YT TV just fine to my Firestick. All was working very well. Until a few days ago, when it started running very poorly. Pausing, stopping. Very choppy playback. What’s going on? It’s just YT TV. Hulu, Philo, etc, is playing fine. This is on my television, with Firestick. App on phone and PC is playing fine.

  45. Installed ok and runs but when I want to watch something it hangs on “Loading…” There is no indication that it will ever get past this.

  46. Got it loaded and tried to watch something and it is stuck “loading…” Reinstalled via downloader multiple times with the same result

  47. Epic fail. You have to choose a zip code to enter and every time I enter any code in the U.S it says that youtubeTV is not available in my area
